Our Projects
Central Pacific

This region of the country stretches from the city of Puntarenas to the mouth of the Baru River, in the area known as Dominical de Osa.  There are three cities of interest for tourism and development: Quepos, Jaco and Puntarenas.  Included in this region are the islands in the Gulf of Nicoya, primarily accessible from the city of Puntarenas.  Characterized by humid and rainy climatic conditions, the region’s beaches and coastal hills enjoy great biodiversity. Tropical habitats here range from tropical rainforests that give way to dry tropical forests. These ecosystems provide habitat to numerous plant and animal species, which are sheltered in different protected areas.  Also included in this region is Coco Island which, although it is almost 600 kilometers from the port town of Puntarenas, is under the jurisdiction of the province.

Costa Rica Beaches

The main attractions of this region are coastal areas and protected nature reserves.  There are many beautiful beaches along the coast in this region, some of which are only a 2 hour drive from San Jose.  As far as forested areas, there are wildlife refuges, national parks and biological reserves.  There are also important cultural and recreational attractions in this area, as well as different organized events, especially sporting events that distinguish the region.  Our summary would be incomplete if we did not mention the scenic beauty of the coastal route between Caldera and the Quepos and Manuel Antonio area.
